Thank you to the Illinois State Board of Education, legislators and advocates for working toward the release of vouchers today for the new evidence-based funding formula. We are thrilled about this step toward adequate and equitable funding for all kids. We commend the Illinois State Board of Education for taking this action so that the state’s neediest school districts receive new funds for the 2017-2018 school year. While much additional investment is required, we hope educators, parents and all Illinoisans take a moment to celebrate today.
